The Bay, The Gig and The Bump – in 7 days!

Good Things Come in Threes. I don’t know about you, but this is the story of my life. When we effect positive change, good things happen all at once. Good things do come in threes. Your “three” may vary from mine, but here’s the latest peek into our most recent adventures in the Rosser family. All three of these life-changing events happened within seven days. What a ride it’s been!

The Gig – The hunt began with the Job-A-Day Challenge. Each morning, I spent about an hour (or so) applying for my dream jobs in San Francisco. My secret weapons included a LinkedIn Premium Job Seeker subscription, templated cover letter and templated resume. Within 30 days, I was well on my way to landing a dream position at a mobile startup in SF AND doubling my salary. Can’t beat that type of success! (Stay tuned in future posts for the nitty-gritty details on how I did it.)

My first day on the job is June 5th.

The Bay – My desire to move to the Bay area from the Central Coast of California began with my marketing career aspirations. Anyone in our industry knows that if you want to be at the epicenter of the most cutting-edge technologies and poised-for-growth startups, San Francisco is THE place to be. The possibilities here are limitless.

Our move date to the Bay area is June 1st.

The Bump –While we had been traveling the Bay area house-hunting like glassy-eyed HGTV House Hunters, I was more nauseated than I’d ever been. Carsickness. Upset stomach. Fatigued. Morning sickness?

What are the chances of getting knocked up when you use a copper IUD? It’s .06%. For you non-mathematicians, that translates to 6 women of 1,000. I told my hubby it was IMPOSSIBLE. I thought it was just the stress and excitement of the new job and the move.  Well, I decided to take the test for peace of mind. Result = Positive. What?! I took another test. Result = Positive. Yep, I am definitely “preggo” with my first baby. #beyondexcited

I am 8 ½ weeks along.

Today’s post is definitely a diversion from my typical, but my intention was to give you a glimpse behind the scenes. I look forward to sharing bits and pieces of my professional and personal journey with you, as well. It’s all a part of building that trust and relationship with each of you, my readers.
