Bobby Umar joins us via video today to discuss three very important aspects to keep in mind when designing a social selling program.
1.Social media is not a place to overtly sell.
You are building your brand, concepts and awareness on social media. Then, you transition prospects to a place where you can sell (i.e. webinar, phone call, in-person meeting or email marketing.)
2. People will buy from people they trust.
You can't come across as salesy. You must be authentic. One good way to do this is to share something you think might be useful to your audience. Give them the option to opt-out or ignore the message if the message does not resonate and an opportunity to engage with you if the message does resonate.
3. Be incredibly helpful.
The more you help people out, the more people will want to find out about what you do. This primes your audience to buy your products and increases the likelihood that they will seek you out when they have a need you can fill.
